Purpose: Complete general administrative and accounting tasks efficiently and effectively in order to ensure professional service delivery to customers.
Education, experience and competencies
- Matric and Diploma in administration, sales/commercial sales
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferably from the manufacturing/mining industry
- MS Office (advanced Excel) Syspro (advantage)
- Experience in compiling and submitting tender documents.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities
- Review and understand products’ margins while increasing profits through the sales process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers through professional conduct, regular follow-ups, diplomatic communication and service delivery that meets deadlines.
- Proactively deal with customers/stakeholders to ensure that issues are resolved and relationships strengthened.
- Perform any reasonable ad hoc tasks and duties required by management.
- Review and understand products’ margins while increasing profits through the sales process.
- Maintaining and updating sales and customer records.
- Create and compile monthly sales reports.
- Compiling vendor applications.
- Liaise with departments ensuring changes affecting sales are completed.
- Maintaining and updating all tender records.
- Create and maintain weekly CRM reports.
- Ad hoc processing of quotes and orders.
- Attain expediting reports from field service customers.
- Assist with admin-related tasks throughout the sales department.
- Use various digital systems to identify new sales opportunities.
- Minimise daily costs and wastage (e.g. use of equipment, stationery, etc.)
- Continuously support effective teamwork within the department.
