AFGRI is recruiting and invites suitable qualifying candidates to apply for the following vacancies:
Quality Controller
To perform quality control tasks in the laboratory and on-site, ensuring that products meet the required standards and comply with HACCP and OHS protocols.
Required Minimum Education/Training:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
Required Minimum Work Experience:
- At least 12 months of experience in a quality control environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory analysis on raw materials and final products.
- Perform HACCP-related tasks and ensure in-process quality management.
- Maintain and capture laboratory analysis data using Lims.
- Systematically store and manage sample identification.
- Perform general quality control tasks, including cleaning equipment, monitoring equipment conditions, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Prepare loads for dispatch and conduct spot checks on accurate loading
Technical Knowledge/Competencies:
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong product knowledge.
- Basic computer literacy.
Behavioural Competencies:
- Disciplined and reliable.
- Strong identification with management and safety-consciousness.
- Willingness to work in production areas and actively engage in inline processing quality management.
- Strong learning ability.
Millwright
To ensure the efficient and effective operation of electrical and mechanical works, quick and effective repairs, and up-to-date preventative maintenance program.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- N3 or Grade 12
- Trade Test: Millwright (non-negotiable)
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5 years on the job Electrical And Mechanical experience
- 3 years of experience in a Production / Animal Feeds environment is essential
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Perform Plant maintenance: Electrical and Mechanical.
- Perform inspections and breakdown repairs on production machinery/equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance of machinery, equipment and buildings
- Performing tasks as per reasonable instruction from Engineering Foreman.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES
- Mechanical and Electrical inclined
- Problem-solving

Warehouse Controller
To manage essential stock and loading processes.
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
Key Performance Areas
- Oversee effective stock control, ensuring accuracy and availability of packing materials.
- Manage the packing of products, adhering to company and customer specifications.
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to schedules.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following strict housekeeping standards.
- Ensure timely and efficient loading of vehicles, complying with FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles.
- Handle all invoicing, documentation, and returns in line with company protocols.

Senior Analyst
As part of Strategic Advisory team, the Senior Analyst will help shape the Group Strategy by evaluating strategic challenges, performing complex analyses and delivering critical insights to support the implementation and execution of initiatives within AFGRI Group Holdings.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- A relevant Degree in Business, Economics, or Financial Management is required
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Development, M&A Advisory, or Private Equity.
- Exposure to financial models, valuations, impairment and WACC calculations etc.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Support Mergers and Acquisitions activities associated with acquisitive growth; work with a team to develop pipeline, engage companies, conduct due diligence, and conclude transactions.
- Support divestment activity within the Group.
- Work with Strategic Advisory leadership on capital raising initiatives (equity), support and manage due diligence activities.
- Work with Business Units to drive value addition across businesses (“parenting advantage”) i.e., common customer share of wallet, customer loyalty program etc.).
- Assess investment opportunities within existing businesses, develop a business case and financial model, work with MDs on a business plan.
