Customer Based Coordinator vacancy at Nestle

Purpose: To be the immediate face of Nestle within a Customer Supply Chain location, responsible for maximising service  and enhancing everyday operations by efficient management of inventory and stock availability.

Responsible for engaging cross functional input to improve end0to-end flow to ensure delivery on time, lead times and fill rates. Co-ordination from Customer DC to Nestle premises to ensure and ensure healthy turn-around times.

A day in the life of a Head of Factory Supply Chain:

  • Ensure availability of Nestle products on shelf by helping to ensure the highest levels of inbound Case Fill Rate as measured by the Customer
  • Proactive management of Short Supply lines working with the sales team, the Customer and Category planning to minimise service failures
  • Identifying root causes of non-availability of stock at DC and store level, defining and implementing actions to correct
  • Follow up on stock – expiry date and overstocks/understocks withing the DC itself
  • Monitoring the orders to ensure highest capacity of in fill per order and reporting on Fill rate
  • Ensuring achievement of inventory levels on target as defined by the Customer by leveraging understanding the end-to-end Supply chain to identify opportunities to remove unproductive inventory
  • End-to-end flow of entire leg of co-ordination of orders to delivery (CSA & THUB) of Nestle 3PL from delivery on time within customer lead times, to ensuring and monitoring the turnaround time of trucks at Customer’s back door
  • Control the end-to-end flow to ensure delivery on time and that orders are within lead times
  • Control the end-to-end flow of back door receiving and monitoring turn-around times of truck
  • Coordinate the 3PL end-to-end leg from when it leaves Nestle premises to when it is delivered
  • Work alongside Demand Planner to facilitate the CPFR process to align Nestle and Customer plans on promotions and key events
  • Work closely with Demand Planner to facilitate the transitions between packs/line codes for NPD and Renovation with Nestle and the customer to ensure smooth changeover of sku’s

  • Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant operational experience at market/business level in at least one of the following areas: Customer Service, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Development and Sales / Key account management
