SANParks is recruiting and accepting applications for Field Assistant vacancy.

The above position is on a fixed-term contract position up to 31 March 2027, renewable on mutual agreement.

The salary is on a B4 salary band, R11 823.25 Salary + R 2426.12 housing as the incumbent will be staying outside the park. The incumbent will also receive a Tool of Trade allowance of R4756.16 (must be a suitable vehicle) pending approval as per SANParks Delegation Framework.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate or NQF level 4
• Code 08 driver’s license
• Computer Literacy in MS Office
• 2 years of experience with contracting teams/management of personnel
• Experience in health and safety management and compliance
• Experience in invasive alien plant clearing is essential for this position

Responsibilities

• Assist with project-related planning
• Assist with the management and mentoring of EPWP contract
• Ensure the management of quality, production and monitoring of task-based operations linked to the project
• Ensure compliance with program standards/norms and Health and Safety requirements
• Assist with mapping and data recording for the project linked to activities
• Assist with administrative tasks
• Report on project progress
• Communicate and liaise with relevant stakeholders
