Afrimat Quarrying South Africa (Pty) Ltd invites candidates with a minimum Grade 12 qualification to apply for General Worker posts.
Minimum Qualification/Experience:
- Grade 12 and/or experience in a similar environment
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Possess basic knowledge of machinery
- Ability to work under pressure
- Be self-disciplined and able to work without supervision
- Ability to work within the team
- Ability to assist with manual labour and plant maintenance
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Be able to work irregular hours which may include night work

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist with performing daily pre-start inspection checks.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks on or around the plant when requested, under supervision
- Clean all spillage according to safety guidelines
- Adhere to all Health + Safety Standards to ensure safe working practices
- Assist with all screen changes
- Report any general elementary problems to immediate Supervisor on site
- Attend to any other ad hoc duties as requested
