About Genesis Educational Foundation Bursary
The Genesis Educational Foundation (GEFT) bursary is the educational arm of Genesis Analytics – a leading impact and strategy consultancy.
The principal objective of the Genesis Educational Foundation (GEFT) is to support initiatives to promote the educational and professional development of young people from previously disadvantaged backgrounds as described in the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998, primarily in the field of economics and related fields, as well as public health. The GEFT bursary is offered to young South African students who are eligible to study towards their Honours or Master’s degree in the overarching fields of Economics or related, as well as Public Health studies at a recognised South African university.
Applicants must have achieved a consistent average of 65% and above for their undergraduate and Honours degree (the latter, if applicable). The bursary is primarily available to cover tuition fees as well as books and stationery. Dependent on a number of variables, GEFT may support additional needs including accommodation, a living allowance, and transport – all of which is managed on a case-by-case basis.
