COJ is currently accepting applications for Intake and Registry Internship Programme.

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Office of the Ombudsman Department has the following Internship opportunity available for a period NOT exceeding eighteen 18 months.

  • Department: Office of the Ombudsman
  • Branch: Intake and Registry
  • Designation: Internship: Intake and Registry
  • Remuneration: Qualification completed with min 360 credits: R9 960,45 pm, Enrolled as a student: R3 500,00 pm.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/Matric plus Diploma / NQF level 6 in Business / Public or Municipal Administration.
  • Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.

Key Learning Areas:

  • End to end intake process.
  • Interrogate complains adequately, expertly, and empathetically using all necessary resources available to resolve complaints at first contact.
  • Log all complaints queries onto the Case Management system according to Office of the Ombudsman set standards;
  • Take ownership of all complaints logged and manage the residents and / or customer’s expectations, according to the Office of the Ombudsman set standards;
  • Present all new complaints with clear recommendation to the assessment committee in the weekly assessment meeting.
