Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to optimize mineral processing and production processes.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Chemical / Metallurgical / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Up to one year’s work experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL will be advantageous.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with mineral processing concepts, processes, and data sets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a mineral processing context.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and a genuine passion for leveraging data science in the mineral processing industry.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Must be a South African Citizen.
