Mintek is currently accepting applications for Internship Programme.

PURPOSE: The purpose is to provide practical work experience to students who have completed their degree.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

On-Site Project Monitoring:

  • Act as the Employer’s Agent’s Assistant (Assistant Resident Engineer) on-site for the mine rehabilitation projects.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure that rehabilitation activities align with project specifications and timelines.

Technical Investigations and Design:

  • Conduct site investigations to gather necessary data for rehabilitation designs.
  • Collaborate with the project team to produce accurate and actionable technical designs and reports.

Contract and Project Management Assistance:

  • Support effective project management by tracking progress and maintaining detailed records.
  •  Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed progress reports to provide updates on site activities, challenges, and achievements.
  • Document all observations and technical findings for reference and audit purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (NQF level 7) degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent academic record: 60% average

CLOSING DATE: 06 December 2024

SALARY PACKAGE: R160, 500.00 CTC per annum non–negotiable

This opportunity is open to South African citizens only. Successful candidates must arrange their own accommodation close to Mintek, and must make their own travel arrangements to get to Mintek.
