About MultiChoice Bursary
MultiChoice is currently accepting applications for 2025 academic year bursaries.
Bursaries will be awarded to more than 230 students, for STEM-related degree studies, within the following fields (at undergraduate and postgraduate level, up to NQF level 9):
- Actuarial Science
- Accounting
- Data & Information Science
- Digital Media Technology
- Film & Television, Marketing
- Filmmaking
- Finance
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Information Engineering
- Information Technology (AI & Robotics)
- Sound Engineering

The bursary will cover 1 academic year of study and does NOT cover any outstanding debt.
Students will be selected based on the following main criteria, per the MultiChoice external bursary policy: academic performance and financial need.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be currently in Matric (in 2024) or have completed Matric
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time, towards a degree qualification within one of the fields listed above, which are considered critical and scarce skill fields
- You must be a first-time undergraduate or postgraduate student (Honours and Masters) student
- You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in Matric
- You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%, if currently studying
- You must be studying or registered/ intend to register to study at a recognised institute of higher learning in South Africa
