NMISA is currently accepting applications for Internal Audit Internship programme.
The National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) is offering a 24-month internship programme in Internal Audit. This opportunity forms part of the Internal Audit Technician Learnership and aims to provide successful applicants with both theoretical training and practical work experience.
To provide support to NMISA’s Internal Audit Unit by performing tasks that align with audit standards and internal methodologies, while gaining workplace experience toward becoming a certified Internal Audit Technician.
Minimum Requirements
- Three-year tertiary qualification in Internal Auditing
 - A Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
 - Knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards
 - Basic understanding of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and other relevant legislation
 - MS Office proficiency
 - Good communication and report writing skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform administrative audit functions and open audit files
 - Assist in compliance, operational, IT, and financial audits
 - Draft audit reports and document audit working papers
 - Assist with follow-up audits and ad hoc assignments
 - Support the Internal Audit Unit with daily administrative tasks
 - Address coaching and review notes in audit files
 - Collaborate with senior internal auditors on scheduled audits
