Job Description
We are recruiting an energetic receptionist who can manage one of the Old Mutual Investment Group reception desks and, importantly, innovate and improve the standard of front-line servicing for visitors and callers. The successful candidate will be confident, driven, focused, and committed to helping the companies within the group delivering investment performance to our clients.
Key Result Areas
- Responsible for operating the switch board, directing callers, resolving queries, and taking messages in a professional and efficient manner.
- Greeting internal and external visitors in a professional and efficient manner, directing them to their meeting venue if required, either assisting with their queries and meeting requirements or ensuring they are assisted.
- Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
- Directing and assisting the catering staff with refreshments for visitors and guests
- Providing a welcoming, helpful, friendly, and efficient Old Mutual Investment Group reception that portrays the brand personality in being ‘trusted, confident, sleek, sophisticated, sound and spirited.’
- Co-ordinating the Old Mutual Investment Group Entrance 1 & 2 meeting venues, including prioritising the allocation of rooms, facilitating external OM venues, and coordinating parking and airport transfers where necessary.
- Ensuring that the Old Mutual Investment Group meeting venues and reception area are stocked and tidied and together with the Group IT Helpdesk, that the electronic equipment is fully functional.
- Administrative support work (Assisting with ad-hoc duties including travel, accommodation and IExpense claims; and assist with internal & external functions)
- Stationary Stock take, Ordering & distribution thereof to Business units.
- Courier deliveries
- Opening & closing of business entrances.
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
- Preference will be given to candidates with financial services exposure.
- Experience and references applicable to the primary functions of the position.
- Good telephonic manner
- Diverse experience in front-line positions is essential (Minimum of 2 years)
- Professional approach and dedicated to providing the highest standards of customer services.
- Excellent communication, call-handling, and customer service skills
- Computer literate (Minimum of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Internet)
- Flexibility and innovation in problem-solving
- Anticipating problems and solutions within a busy environment
- Own transport essential
