Part-time Foundation Phase Lecturer

IIE MSA is recruiting and accepting applications for the Part-time Foundation Phase Lecturer vacancy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Presenting content in a classroom environment (contact sessions)
  • Arranging for consultations with students
  • Results analysis at a modular level
  • Marking assessments and providing constructive feedback
  • Employing interventions for at-risk students
  • Integrating and promoting the effective use of technology in teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and academic outcomes
  • Engaging in professional development and contributing to departmental and institutional initiatives

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • A minimum of a B.Ed. Honour’s degre OR
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8 And:
  • The undergraduate qualification or postgraduate qualification must include a focus on Foundation Phase and/or Early Childhood Teaching.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years school teaching experience in the Foundation Phase required.
  • Tertiary Lecturing Experience (Ideal).
  • Teaching experience does not include experience gained during Teaching practice / Work Integrated Learning / Intern work or being a Teaching assistant.
