About RDM Bursary

Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RDM) is currently accepting applications for 2025 academic year bursaries.

Bursaries will be awarded for studies towards Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Engineering (at NQF level 7 or higher).

The aim of the bursary program is to address South Africa’s shortage of specialized talent, with a particular emphasis on developing engineering expertise.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
  • You must be studying or intend on studying full-time towards your first Engineering degree or diploma, at undergraduate level (the programme must be 6 months or longer and must be within the scope of RDM)
  • You must be studying or have achieved admission to study at public university or university of technology in South Africa
  • You must have achieved/ will achieve a Bachelor’s Pass in Matric, with a minimum result of 70% for Mathematics and/or Physical Sciences (the bursary will NOT fund students who completed Matric/ SC with Mathematics Literacy)
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in the year that you are applying for the bursary
  • You must have a strong academic record
