AfriSam South Africa Pty Ltd is is recruiting and accepting applications for Warehouse Attendant vacancies.

Responsibilities:

  • All warehouse duties with specific focus on offloading and loading of palletised cement, bulk bags and offloading, stock / pallets stacking in the yard.
  • Loading transporter vehicles per correct weight distribution for the truck and per Traffic Road Regulations.
  • Reporting breakages and missing bags.
  • Ensuring the correct product type, product packaging and quantity is loaded in accordance with authority to load.
  • Assisting with the re-bagging and repacking of cement as per the set procedures.
  • Operating the forklift to move palletised products within optimal timeframes.
  • Maintaining Safety, Health and Environmental standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/ Amended Senior Certificate/ NCV Level 4/ Technical Matric – N3 (4 technical subjects plus 2 official languages).
  • Forklift driver’s license
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a related industry preferably with experience in the operating bulk handling equipment, and driving a forklift.
  • Very proficient in operating the bulk handling equipment.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of forklift operation
  • Good knowledge of all required Depot safety practices.
  • Good knowledge of safe pallet stacking procedure.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental risks.
