Workshop Assistant vacancy at Rand Water

Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assisting Artisan in cutting metal for use of flanges, lugs, brackets and wedges. Assist with scheduled inspection on all lifting equipment and cranes, Assist spare team with, wrapping cleaning workshop, waste areas and ablution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12.
  • Drivers license.
  • At least 2 years experience in fitting workshop and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and check lifting equipment.
  • Basic SHE experience.

Primary Duties

  • Assist the artisan with cutting metal on the “Profile Machine”.
  • Assists with mandatory service and safety inspection of lifting equipment, ladder and cranes.
  • Assist spare team for cleaning and wrapping pipelines.
  • Load and unload tools.
  • Erection of scaffolding.
  • Good housekeeping.
  • Safety awareness.
