South African Chefs Association Bursary 2025
South African Chefs Association Bursaries will be awarded to young trainees studying to become chefs, for studies towards a professional cookery programme, preferably in Occupational Qualifications, Cook and Chef.
With the backing of its generous sponsors, the South African Chefs Association provides a well-structured bursary fund designed to support aspiring chefs in their training. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply and seize this fantastic opportunity to further their culinary careers.
The bursary will provide partial cover for tuition fees, to the value of R30 000. Funding is paid directly to the Training Provider.

SAAB Bursary 2025 for South African Students
The SAAB Bursaries will be awarded for Postgraduate Botany and related studies (Honours/ 4th year/ MSc).
Bursaries will be awarded to the following values:
- 3 bursaries will be awarded for Honours or 4th year level of study, for 1 year of study, to the value of R15 000 each. Candidates will also receive a 1 year complimentary SAAB membership.
- 3 bursaries will be awarded for MSc studies, to the value of R50 000 each – recipients will receive R25 000 the first year and R25 000 the following year, if first year results are satisfactory. Candidates will also receive a 2 year complimentary SAAB membership.

Oppenheimer Memorial Trust Scholarship Bursary 2025
Oppenheimer Memorial Trust is currently accepting applications for 2025 academic year Scholarship Bursary.
The OMT will be awarding 3 types of scholarships:
- OMT Scholarship for Masters and Doctoral studies: covers postgraduate study at local and international Higher Education Institutions at Master’s and Doctoral level.
- OMT Scholarship for Postdoctoral studies: covers postdoctoral study at local and international Higher Education Institutions.
- OMT Scholarship for sabbatical studies: covers studies at public Higher Education Institutions in South Africa, for full-time academics undertaking sabbatical study.

AIMS Google DeepMind is currently accepting applications for 2025 academic year Scholarship Bursary.
The programme is aimed at students across Africa, inviting them to join the company’s September 2025 cohort to become one of their 40 Google DeepMind Scholars.
The scholarship programme is a fully residential one-year taught masters with a research component. The curriculum takes a dive into how AI can be used to understand the world and launch progress within the scientific sector.
