As an intern, you’ll be immersed in real-world projects focused on optimizing production, reducing waste, and enhancing operational performance using data-driven methods and industry best practices such as Lean and DMAIC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource Usage vs Production Efficiency Reports: Use Power BI (preferred) or Excel to compile reports comparing resource input to production output. Analyze trends and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Material Usage Variance: Investigate material usage discrepancies, pinpoint root causes, and recommend practical solutions to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Time & Motion Studies: Conduct on-site evaluations of production tasks and workflows to identify bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency.
  • Lean and DMAIC Application: Use Lean principles and the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives.
