The Johannesburg City Parks & Zoo invites suitable qualifying candidates to apply for the following vacancies:

INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

  • DURATION: PERMANENT
  • SALARY: R19,479.12 – R26,295.56 P/M

JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Internal Audit Department in providing assurance to the JCPZ Board and Management on the adequacy and effectiveness of systems on Internal Control, Risk Management and Governance Processes.

To assist in the development and implementation of the risk based Internal Audit Annual Plan. Manage JCPZ audit projects and that audit work conforms to the Professional Practices Framework of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Municipal Finance Management Act and relevant legislation.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.Com Degree (Accounting/ Auditing) or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in Auditing/ Accounting
  • Certified Internal Auditor (IIA SA)/ CISA/ CA(SA) or relevant professional designation
  • 7 years Internal Audit experience within the public sector
  • 2-3 years’ supervisory experience or minimum of 12 years’ experience in the auditing environment.

CASHIER SUPERVISOR

  • DURATION: PERMANENT
  • SALARY: R19,479.12 – R26,295.56 P/M

JOB PURPOSE: To manage and supervise the entry and exit of patrons at all entrances at the Zoo on a daily basis inclusive of gate takings at the Zoo. To ensure that all pay points are manned at all times and also ensure that all gate takings are banked timeously.

Administer accurate control sheets for reconciliation purposes to uphold the integrity of financial reporting. Compile accurate visitors report and submit to the Finance Officer. The Zoo operates on a 7-day a week basis.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric/ Grade 12
  • Diploma in Financial Accounting or Customer Service or equivalent NQF level 5 qualification
  • 5 year relevant work experience
  • Driver’s license.

FIXED ASSETS OFFICER

  • DURATION: PERMANENT
  • SALARY: R19,479.12 – R26,295.56 P/M

JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Fixed Assets Supervisor in controlling the assets of the company and maintaining an accurate assets register at Johannesburg City Parks And Zoo.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

JOB PURPOSE: To support various ER functions within JCPZ. Assist with administrative tasks; ensure compliance with Human Resources and ER policies, regulations and maintain employee records. Provide administrative support to HR managers and the Employee Relations Unit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric/ Grade 12
  • Diploma in HR/ Labour Relations or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in employee relations or human resources administration
