General Manager: Corporate Finance

Purpose: TDevelop and raise (Find) innovative funding solutions and optimal deal structures for investment opportunities that will deliver additional capacity to relieve the debt burden and strengthen the Transnet balance sheet.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered CA (SA) qualification is required
  • Minimum 15 years’ deal making / corporate finance experience in a similar role, of which 8 years must be at senior management level
  • Requirement of Trust and Honesty in the handling of Finances.

Chief Procurement Officer

Purpose: To develop an integrated Transnet Engineering’s supply chain strategy that is aligned with the Transnet Groups strategic supply chain management strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Finance/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics of which at least 5 years in a senior management level in a large organisation with a complex operations environment.
  • Experience in leading major transformation within an organisation.
  • A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Registration with relevant professional body will be added advantage, e.g, CIPS.

Specialist: Combined Assurance

Purpose: To develop and manage the control compliance to maintain a satisfactory control environment and providing stakeholder assurance thereby assisting in the achievement of its strategies. Implementation of sustainably effective internal controls across the Transnet Pipeline.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post graduate degree in risk, accounting or auditing
  • 6-8 years’ experience is in a financial compliance role is required, involved in conversion of risk, and provide improved controls.
  • Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances.
  • Driver’s license code 08

Competencies

  • Advanced understanding Audit and combined assurances practices
  • Advanced Understanding of Combined Assurance model
  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting systems and practices
  • King IV and corporate governance principles
  • Knowledge and interpretation of all relevant legislation, and regulations

Employee Relations Manager (ELN)

Purpose: To manage the Employee Relations Department so as to ensure that individual and collective conflict areas are managed effectively and efficiently in line with policies and legislation and that communication channels in the Port of East London function effectively to ensure a good healthy work environment will be created, which in turn will accomplish maximum productivity and minimise labour disputes. Serve as a Conciliator (of disputes) for and on behalf of the Transnet Bargaining Council.

Qualifications and Experience

  • M+3 Employee Relations Diploma/Degree Labour Law Certificate/ Diploma 8 Years Relevant Experience.

CCTV Operator

Purpose: To conduct all activities associated with security control room operations which include the monitoring and administration of the CCTV system installed as well as conduct general security administration to ensure compliance with the maritime transport security requirements as contemplated in the International Ship and Port facility Security (ISPS) Code.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 NQF 4
  • 2 years relevant experience in Port Operations/Maritime Services/Security Environment
  • Relevant training in CCTV operations, preferably on IP based systems
  • PSIRA registration (Grade C)
  • Computer literacy
  • 6 – 12 months in a security control OR ROC
  • OR Grade 10 /NQF 2, 3 years relevant experience relevant to the position applied for.
